What a beautiful day today. We started our ride late today, about 6:00pm. It was just a little over 70 degrees. The trails were not too busy today, which was nice - but there were allot of people in the park playing soccer. Saw one lonely deer on the trail back, just kind of chilling. Oh ya, and Brandon spit his water all over me.

Wow, its been 10 days since my last ride. I had training all last week, and with the commute, was not getting home till after dark. This will not be an excuse any longer since I purchased a light for my bike today! I got the Bontrager Ion 1 Headlight. I also got a new pair of bike shorts, and a bell.

Third ride today. Was unable to ride Monday & Tuesday due to my broken bike. I repeated our first trek to Bethesda and back, and road 5.76 miles. Not sure why the same trek would end up being two different distances. *Shrugs*

Brandon and I went for our second bike ride today. We ventured North on the Rock Creek Trail, biking from our apartment to Kensington Rd, and back. According to Cyclemeter, an application I run on my iPhone, we road 6.31 miles today. Not as far as yesterday's ride, but boy did this trek burn!
We saw about 10 deer, and our trek was done latter in the evening, so it was darker and thus cooler. Brandon mentioned on more then once that he was chilly. Guess we will have to get fall riding gear!
And now the bad news... 1) I broke my bike. *Sigh* I broke a plastic piece, not sure what it does or how important it is, but it is broken. Guess I will be taking my bike in to get looked at... and 2) The hill coming back from the trail can die and go to hell, just sayin.

Brandon and I went for our first bike ride today. We ventured west on the Capital Crescent Trail, biking from our apartment to downtown Bethesda, and back. According to Cyclemeter, an application I run on my iPhone, we road 7.32 miles today. Not to shabby for our first ride!
