Brandon and I went for our second bike ride today. We ventured North on the
Rock Creek Trail, biking from our apartment to Kensington Rd, and back. According to
Cyclemeter, an application I run on my iPhone, we road 6.31 miles today. Not as far as yesterday's ride, but boy did this trek burn!
We saw about 10 deer, and our trek was done latter in the evening, so it was darker and thus cooler. Brandon mentioned on more then once that he was chilly. Guess we will have to get fall riding gear!
And now the bad news... 1) I broke my bike. *Sigh* I broke a plastic piece, not sure what it does or how important it is, but it is broken. Guess I will be taking my bike in to get looked at... and 2) The hill coming back from the trail can die and go to hell, just sayin.
Here are the stats for our second ride:
| Ride Time: | 45:35 |
| Stop Time: | 1:26 |
| Distance: | 6.31 miles |
| Average: | 8.31 miles/h |
| Fastest Speed: | 23.30 miles/h |
| Ascent: | 246 feet |
| Descent: | 197 feet |
| Calories: | 603 |
